Day 7: Traverse to the southern Westfjords
We will make a big breakfast for this highlight day on the Westfjords Way. Some have called this the most beautiful road in the world. It is known as Svalvogar and is a double track gravel road. Luckily there are cafes at the beginning and end of the section. The double track gravel section is very remote and does not have a lot of cell phone service. It is rolling coastal hills with amazing views right on the sea. It is a real highlight of the tour. Once you reach Þingeyri there is Simbahöllin cafe for waffles to celebrate the day. Dinner and stay at KEX.

It is also possible to ride through the tunnel if you are not feeling up for the final climb.  Descend to Ísafjörður and return to the Fjord Hub to celebrate. We will celebrate an awesome tour with dinner at Tjörhúsið, the famous all you can eat fish buffet. After telling our last stories, we will stay at Hótel Ísafjörður Torg. We’ll have breakfast together the next morning before the final transfer to the Ísafjörður airport.
