Itinerary

Day 1: Tuesday, June 18
Self-transfer to Ísafjörður via the domestic flight from Reykjavik or arrive at your leisure to be in time for the lunch concert in Ísafjörður at 12:15pm. Grab a quick bite on your own and check-in to your hotel before the music festival director gives you a personal walking tour of his hometown. Dinner is served at Iceland’s best fish restaurant served fresh from the sea. The night concludes with the first evening concert of the festival, but not if the sky is clear! Board a bus and chase the midnight sun at one of the best viewpoints of the Westfjords. This special add-on is spontaneous and will depend on the weather forecast for the week.

Day 2: Wednesday, June 19
Wake up refreshed and enjoy breakfast at your respective hotel. You are free to self-explore in the mornings before the 12:15pm lunch concert. Choose to get lunch before or after the concert depending on how you are feeling. Board the bus at 2pm in front of Hotel Torg for a tour of the pearl of the Westfjords, Dynjandi, the famous towering waterfall. Next head to Þingeyri for an afternoon beverage at Simbahöllin cafe and a short tour of the city. Head back to Ísafjörður before dinner on your own and finish with the evening concert at 8pm.

Day 3: Thursday, June 20
The day of the solstice, the pure 24-hour midnight sun will propel you through this fun-filled day. Start the day with breakfast at your respective hotel. You are free to self-explore in the mornings before the 12:15pm lunch concert. At 1:15pm, the Solstice Extravaganza begins where you will be transported to the event location. Lunch and bubbly will be served upon arrival. Enjoy the company of the artists and other patrons as you take in the sights of one of the nearby communities. The extravaganza will be concluded with the VIP dinner and evening concert.

Day 4: Friday, June 21
Not to worry, breakfast is served till 10:00am if you want to choose to sleep-in after the Extravaganza. Self-explore before the 12:15pm lunch concert followed by lunch of your choosing. At 2pm, choose from a kayak or bike tour. On the bike, embark on an easy ride to the Troll’s Seat, the best place to get a view of the town. The hike is short, but strenuous and typically takes hikers 30 minutes. Take in the view of the town while having a coffee and kleinur before hiking and biking back. Or choose to take a peaceful kayak tour in Pollurinn, the inner harbor of Ísafjörður. Clean up and get dinner on your own before the evening concert.

Day 5: Saturday, June 22
On the final day of the festival, start the morning with a private viewing and standing brunch at Ísafjörður Art Museum.  Have an easy afternoon to take in one more self-adventure or reflect on the many already had in the week before the evening concert at 5pm. Afterwards, board the ferry to attend the final night dinner party on Vigur Island where we will conclude the festival. Fall peacefully in bed back one last time in the cozy beds of Ísafjörður Hotels.
