The Westfjords Way

Experience the route that started it all

8-12 Day Tour

Follow the official Westfjords Way Route established by Chris Burkard, Lael Wilcox, Rue Kaladyte, Payson McElveen and Nichole Baker in 2021.

Follow the route that started it all! As the inspiration for the Arna Westfjords Way Challenge, this route has everything. You will traverse endless fjords and  experience the best gravel gravel in the Westfjords. Passing countless waterfalls, hot pots, cafes and museums, this route gives you the opportunity to rack up 370 passport points in cultural stops.

*Keep in mind, you can always make changes to the route using our point system as a guide for recommended stops.

* Due to snow, some parts of this route may not be clear until the end of June or early July, and route changes may be required.
