Today‘s beginning was rough, mainly because Julian’s had a puncture which we just couldn‘t seem to repair properly. We ended up at the little tower house and decided to give Julian’s tyre another go. Unfortunately the tyre wouldn’t stop loosing milk as tyre just wouldn’t sit on the rim like it should. Julian’s had enough of his first tubeless ride and decided to switch to his beloved tube-setup. It’s funny, since I really hoped to convince him of all the advantages of riding tubeless - maybe it’s just not for him.

We fell in love with this lovely hotel! When we reached our room a friendly cat welcomed us. Needless to say the cat and I cuddled for at least 30 minutes. (She jumped right onto my thighs)I was trapped. How could I ever stand up from the ground again and leave my furry new friend alone?

Today Iceland showed us the true meaning of headwind. It’s fascinating how the winds can turn just in synchrony with us. Going up the first mountain on our route today was no piece of cake. When we finally saw the mountain hut there was no energy left to explore it from the inside. It was a race against the clock - we really didn’t want to miss out dinner. In the end we made it just in time.

When we started our third day, it was misty and cold. The witchcraft museum was the ideal place to warm up a bit before going back on track. When we left the museum we were suprised to see then sun shining and all fog gone. Magic! Unfortunately the wind was back and once again against us. Luckily we know now how to change the wind. Now we just need to find the right fish head.

Therefore we decided not to cycle all the way down and up again and instead just took a photo from afar.
